Moving Together Through Eco-Friendly Cities

Join the adventure with our first team-based destination challenge! Walk, run, or move your way through the world’s most eco-friendly cities as a team. Turn everyday activities like cycling, yoga, or even household chores into steps with the activity converter that will be available during the challenge. Travel (virtually!) to shark sanctuaries in Micronesia to vertical gardens in France. Discover groundbreaking eco-friendly innovations, stay active, and earn points with your team along the way!

To get started view the step-by-step guide

  1. Login to your HealthySteps to Wellness account
  2. Join the Challenge from the home page Challenge tile on the wellness platform.
  3. Team up. Join a team, or create your own and be the captain (you even get naming rights)! Invite 5 of your colleagues to join you.
  4. Get moving and stay connected. Track your steps with a fitness device or log in manually. Unlock different destinations along the way, and learn a little something at each stop.
  5. Engage in the challenge chat. Cheer on your team and motivate each other as you work toward each destination.

Optional: On the first day of the challenge come together to officially set your adventure in motion.

  • Engage colleagues and form small groups for your walk. Working from home? Plan to walk with your family or friends or walk on your own!
  • Identify a safe walking route that is one-half to one mile long.
  • Choose a route for your walk that is relatively flat, paved, and step-free (optional: create a course map).
  • Set up a meeting location and time to start the walk.
  • Ask colleagues as well as managers to help promote the challenge.
  • Download the Personify Health App to join the challenge and start tracking those steps.

Outdoor Movement Tips:

  • Wear breathable clothes and comfortable shoes.
  • Apply SPF 30+ sunscreen every 2 hours (even on cloudy days!).
  • Wear UV-protection sunglasses to keep your eyes safe and looking sharp.
  • Learn the signs of heat exhaustion — like dizziness, cramps, and heavy sweating — and take action.
  • Cool off fast: take a break, rest in the shade, elevate your legs, sip water.
