The Evolution of Eating

Fast food, protein shakes, sugary cereals… Our ancestors would not have recognized much of what we consume today as food, and our bodies did not evolve to eat these “food products” either. This modern diet of ultra processed foods based on taste, price, and convenience can wreak havoc on the health of our bodies and the planet.

In this webinar, we will explore what humans evolved to eat, the roles these foods play in our health, and how many modern food products lack the nourishment we need to thrive. You will learn about how nutrition affects the microbiome, a community of trillions of microorganisms in our gut that play a crucial role in our well-being. Finally, we will discuss practical ways we can choose delicious, nutritious, and even convenient foods to sustain our well-being in the current modern world.

This class will be recorded and a one-week link to the recording will be shared with all registered participants. To receive incentive points, attend at least 80% of the live session or listen to the entire recording within one week.
