Spring PEER Course: FREE LUNCH
Want to become a PEER?
You may have seen current PEERs running events like Dry January, Sex in the Dark, and weekly Naloxone and Upstander trainings for our community. We will highlight upcoming PEER events throughout the course so you can attend and get a feel for what the role really looks like.
PEDS 116 prepares you to become a PAID PEER educator with the SUPER and SHARE offices, and is a requirement if you want to apply to be a PEER. However, you are welcome to take this course even if you do not want to become a PEER (of course, we hope you will want to after taking this class!). Once hired, PEERs are paid hourly for their work and we will be having current PEERs join the class from time to time to co-facilitate and tell you more about the role.
No matter your goals, this class is an opportunity to explore health and wellbeing on campus through a number of different lenses. It is great for anyone interested in future careers in public health, social work, sociology, psychology, and medicine.
If you'd like more information about this upcoming course, add your info to this interest form and we will be in touch!
