This presentation will discuss findings from a National Academy of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine committee on which the presenter served, as well as highlight her research focused on promoting adolescent health and well-being.

- Define adolescence and describe the developmental processes in identity formation.
- Identify the evidence informed elements for optimal adolescent health.
- Recognize the efforts and engagement of children and adolescents as advocates for optimal adolescent health
