SESSION DESCRIPTION
This presentation will include an overview of clinical pharmacogenomics with a focus on the pediatric/adolescent population. It will describe the implementation of a clinical pharmacogenomics service including development of clinical decision support within an electronic health record. Patient cases will be presented to illustrate aspects of the program.
EDUCATION GOALS
- Describe how pharmacogenomic testing can be used to improve medication selection and dosing.
- Describe the Children’s Minnesota Pharmacogenomics Program.
- Review patient cases to illustrate the utility of clinical pharmacogenomics.
