SESSION DESCRIPTION
This session will explore the historical context in which health equity initiatives started at Stanford, particularly Health Equity Rounds.We will emphasize this initiative's past and present success, including systems-level changes implemented following our sessions. Finally, we discuss the vision for the future, including possible barriers and solutions towards more equity-based systems change.
EDUCATION GOALS
- Increase the audience's knowledge of current HEAL initiatives, particularly Health Equity Rounds.
- Highlight an example of division-specific health inequities leading to systems-level changes.
- Identify the next steps in achieving health-equity-based systems-level changes.
