Nutrition for Women’s Health

Good nutrition is critical for everyone’s health, but women have specific dietary needs to consider beyond the general guidelines. These are related to unique risk factors for certain diet-related conditions, greater risks of osteoporosis, heart disease and other conditions in perimenopause and menopause, and different needs due to menstruation, pregnancy, breastfeeding, and other fertility related issues.

If you are curious about the science of nutrition and its role in the most common health issues that affect women, this webinar is for you! Topics will include the role of nutrition in the prevention and management of migraines, iron deficiency anemia, polycystic ovarian syndrome, metabolic associated fatty liver disease, dysmenorrhea, breast cancer prevention, infertility, pregnancy, lactation, osteoporosis and menopause.

Led by a practicing physician with a doctorate in nutrition, the session will illustrate intricate and fascinating explanations for how nutrition influences these conditions, alongside historical anecdotes and most importantly, practical information about how to eat to prevent or manage these issues. This is not about fad-diets or one-size-fits-all approaches. Instead, you will learn about the most important principles of healthy eating and their relevance for the full spectrum of issues that affect women.

This class will be recorded and a one-week link to the recording will be shared with all registered participants.

To receive incentive points, attend at least 80% of the live session or listen to the entire recording within one week.
