Neurodiversity in the Workplace

Co-Sponsored by the Stanford CIO Council Neurodiversity in IT Program

Neurodiversity encompasses conditions such as autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and others that shape how individuals think, communicate, and experience the world. These differences are natural variations that can bring valuable strengths like creativity, attention to detail, deep focus, and innovative thinking. However, many neurodivergent individuals encounter barriers in workplaces not designed with their needs in mind, resulting in unemployment rates that do not reflect their true capabilities. Understanding neurodiversity in the workplace allows organizations to unlock the full range of human potential.

In this free webinar, you will learn the foundational principles of inclusion for neurodiversity. You will learn that different brains are normal and how approaching others with compassionate curiosity rather than judgment can prevent misunderstandings and conflict. You’ll gain insights into common neurodivergent traits in social interactions, communication, and cognition, while also discovering practical strategies to support colleagues—such as using clear communication, scaffolding tasks, and actively inviting participation.

Whether you are a team member, manager, or leader, embracing these differences with compassionate curiosity fosters an environment where everyone can contribute their strengths and feel psychologically safe being themselves.
