Navigating Alcohol Use around Friends, Festivities, and Feelings

The holidays can be a complicated time, combining both joyful celebrations and time with loved ones with added stress, expectations, and family dynamics. In this complex environment, alcohol is often present and may play an integral part in events. Social gatherings, family events, and the season’s emotional highs and lows can all influence when, how, and why we reach for a glass.

In this one-hour webinar, we’ll explore how alcohol works in the body and brain, and how it can affect mood, behavior, and relationships—particularly during the holiday season. You’ll gain insight into the psychological and social factors that can shape drinking choices and learn strategies to help you navigate situations in ways that feel right for you.

We’ll also share practical tools for reducing potential risks, whether your goal is moderation, abstinence, or simply a clearer understanding of your own patterns. You’ll leave with ideas you can put into action right away to support your well-being and help you enjoy the holiday season on your own terms.

This class will be recorded and a one-week link to the recording will be shared with all registered participants. To receive incentive points, attend at least 80% of the live session or listen to the entire recording within one week.
