Finding Relief, Cultivating Inner Peace
Allocating time to foster wellness can be challenging. Yet research shows that even brief mindfulness practices can help alleviate cumulative effects of stress, maintain overall wellbeing, and prevent burnout. The Faculty Staff Help Center offers four weekly, 30-minute meetings (10/15, 10/22, 10/29 and 11/5) to learn and practice simple yet effective tools for grounding oneself and cultivating inner peace.
At each meeting of this interactive workshop series, Help Center facilitators Rosan Gomperts and Roland Hsu will introduce two tools, their underlying principles, and suggestions for how participants may personalize them to suit individual preferences. Ensuing sessions will begin with an opportunity for sharing feedback with, and thus learning from, fellow group members. These discussions are also intended to support those interested in maintaining and possibly expanding a regular practice based on the tools from the workshop.
Participants are welcome to attend all or a subset of the four sessions.
