Doing the Best We Can – Self-Compassion Without Compromising Success

April 18, 2022

Over the last two years we’ve spent a lot of our energy managing constant pivoting, ongoing uncertainty, and effortful optimism. We might now find ourselves a bit off our best-life rhythms with less energy available to spend on ourselves. How do we show up to work with focus and motivation? How do we show up to our people with love and compassion? How do we show up to ourselves with strength and kindness?

In this noontime webinar, we will start with compassion for where we are and employ practical tools for moving forward. We’ll discuss the science of change and identify accessible approaches to living on our own terms. We’ll set intentions based in hope, not fear, moving away from shame toward what nourishes.

Instructor: Sarah Meyer Tapia, MA, is associate director in the Division of Health and Human Performance at Stanford University.  She has worked in both employee and student wellness, studying and teaching stress-management, mindfulness, self-compassion, and behavior change to students, faculty, and staff.
