Coming Back to Your Senses – Deepening Rest and Resilience
Enhance your vitality by delighting in the beauty of nature and art as you rest and rejuvenate. In this in-person class on Stanford campus, you’ll explore the calming effects of natural sights and sculptures on campus and practice gentle self-massage techniques to support heart health, digestion, and restorative sleep.
You will also engage with your senses through mindful sketching and journaling, integrating these experiences into your personal resilience toolkit. Learn how to activate your vagus nerve, which plays a crucial role in stress regulation, and discover practical lifestyle strategies to promote restful states of mind.
This session will leave you feeling refreshed and equipped with skills to deepen your relaxation and well-being.
Enjoy this class on its own or attend more in our summer Coming Back to Your Senses series. The other two evenings in the series are Nourishing Calm on July 24 and Igniting Creativity and Joy on August 7. All three sessions are from 5:00-6:30 pm in person on Stanford Campus. Each of the three classes is offered independently, so you can sign up for just the topics that pique your interest and fit into your busy schedule. Join for one or for all! See details for the series here.
This is an in-person class and will not be recorded.
Attendance at the live session is required to receive incentive points.
