Black Mental Wellness Beyond Black History Month
Co-sponsored with the Black Staff Alliance
The BSA and the Faculty Staff Help Center extend the theme of wellness throughout the year with the offering of monthly, mental wellness drop-in groups for faculty, staff, retirees, and postdocs who self-identify as African, Black, or of Caribbean descent. The groups aim to be a source of support for Black employees of Stanford to share their experiences, strengths, and hope in managing some of the unique stressors of being Black. Join us as we discuss historical contexts of mental wellness in our community, systems of continued support and resources, and how to implement all of this. July is BIPOC Mental Health Month. Mental Health America's theme for this is #Beyond TheNumbers.
