Black Mental Wellness Beyond Black History Month

A Monthly Wellness Drop-In Group for Black Faculty, Staff, Retirees, and Postdocs

One of the core beliefs of the Stanford Black Staff Alliance (BSA) is recognizing Black history beyond the month of February. The BSA and the Faculty Staff Help Center extend the theme of wellness throughout the year with the offering of monthly, mental wellness drop-in groups for faculty, staff, retirees, and postdocs who self-identify as African, Black, or of Caribbean descent. The groups aim to be a source of support for Black employees of Stanford to share their experiences, strengths, and hope in managing some of the unique stressors of being Black.
