Aging Wisely – Grief, Loss and Legacy Making
This class is co-sponsored by the Stanford WorkLife Office.
Caring for a terminally ill loved one or experiencing a sudden loss brings profound emotional challenges, often with little time to prepare. In this free webinar, we will explore best practices for navigating prolonged caregiving, being present at the end of life, and coping with sudden death.
Join us for a free webinar to offer tools and practices that can offer support as you experience grief and loss. We will discuss the immediate steps to take after a loved one’s passing, along with traditions and transitions related to burials, memorials, and rituals to honor the deceased. In addition, we will explore ways to honor your own grief process, including creative practices that use the arts to celebrate and preserve the legacies of those we love.
This webinar is part of the Aging Wisely class series, providing a compassionate environment to explore your questions and concerns and help you gain a holistic perspective on long-term care and legacy planning. Through presentations and online discussions, you will learn strategies and tools to support yourself and others through grief and loss, while fostering meaningful ways to honor and remember loved ones.
This class will be recorded and a one-week link to the recording will be shared with all registered participants. To receive incentive points, attend at least 80% of the live session or listen to the entire recording within one week.
