January 19, 2023 | 7:00pm - 8:30pm

Rural communities in the U.S. face a different set of challenges – in energy, land use, economic development, health access, etc – from urban and suburban communities. On Thurs, Jan 19, we welcome five panelists with unique insight into the issues facing rural communities:

  • Dr. Cora Neumann, Chief Health Officer, Native American Development Corporation
  • Keaton Sunchild, Political Director, Western Native Voice
  • Gov. Steve Bullock, Former Montana Governor and Attorney General
  • Karen Warner, Founder/CEO, BEAM Circular Bioeconomy Hub
  • Andrew Berke, Administrator, USDA RURAL Utilities Service

The panel will be moderated by Isaac Nehring ('26) followed by open Q&A. The event is free and open to all Stanford students and affiliates. Refreshments provided by Just Fare.
