Plant-Based Diet Virtual Cooking Class

July 13, 2021 | 4:00pm - 5:30pm

Join us for an online cooking class highlighting the nutritious power of plants. The session will begin with a brief overview of the benefits of a plant-based diet, from optimizing health and well-being to caring for our environment, as well as addressing some common concerns.

Then get busy in the kitchen as we guide you through the preparation of a simple, Indian-inspired vegetarian meal. There will be plenty of time to share tips and answer your questions. You will end the class with a delicious dinner as well as strategies to bring more plant-based foods into your daily life.

The recipe, including ingredients and equipment needed, will be sent out at least one week before the class so you’ll have time to shop for ingredients in advance. No matter if you are cooking for one or cooking for a family, the menu can be adjusted to meet your personal needs.

Instructor: Reshma Shah, MD, MPH, is a board-certified pediatric physician practicing in the Bay Area. She has advanced training in plant-based nutrition and cooking. In addition to clinical practice and teaching residents and medical students, she has a strong interest in family health and wellness, with a focus on plant-based nutrition.

Class details are subject to change.
