Session Description:
This presentation will provide an overarching framework of diversity inclusion that includes: potential benefits, context and obstacles. It will describe Harvard Medical School’s diversity inclusion programmatic, research activities, and lessons learned.

Education Goals:
Frame benefits of diversity
Describe the demographic landscape of workforce diversity in medicine
Increase awareness of challenges experienced by diverse individuals across subgroups in academic medicine
Describe Harvard’s programmatic and research response and lessons learned
