Living Your Best Life: How Palliative Care Can Help Improve Your Quality of Life

Palliative Care is specialized medical care for people living with a serious illness and aims to see the person beyond the disease. It focuses on providing relief from the symptoms and stress of illness to improve quality of life, regardless of age or stage of illness. Grant Smith, MD, will explain the essential services and support offered through palliative care, when it might be right for you or your loved one, and the ways palliative care works alongside your other doctors to provide whole-person care.

Grant Smith, MD is a palliative care physician and Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine. He provides direct patient care while pursuing his academic and educational interests improving patient-centered care across settings, increasing access to palliative care, and promoting clinician well-being.
