Foundations of Healing Touch Course 1
Healing Touch (HT) is a complementary, energy-based approach to health that uses heart-centered, gentle, non-invasive techniques to clear, balance, and align the energy system. The goal of HT is to restore balance in the energy system, placing the recipient in the position to self-heal. HT recipients report effects ranging from deep relaxation to a vivid sense of mind-body-spirit connection. Many people report significant relief from pain. HT is proving to be very effective as an integrative modality in the hospital environment and is used in several capacities at Stanford.
This in-person weekend class is open to anyone interested in learning more about energy work and healing. The purpose of the class is to enable the learners to be able to practice HT techniques and self-care from a holistic approach, along with exploring the theoretical concepts that underlie the work. This is the first class in the Healing Beyond Borders HTI Certification program and provides 18 continuing education contact hours for nurses and chaplains.
You must pre-register to attend. Registration closes on April 15, 2022. Class size limited to 20.
Please note that this is an in-person class. All participants will be required to adhere to Stanford’s COVID policy for visitors. The text Foundations and Practice of Healing Touch ($40, included in the class price) is required for the course and covers all levels of Healing Touch.
Instructor: Elizabeth Helms, RN, BSN, MATP, CHTP/I, has been a Healing Touch Instructor since 2006 and teaches and practices throughout California and virtually.
