Diving Into Digital

May 14, 2019 | 4:30pm - 6:30pm | Green Library, Bing Wing, 2nd floor, Rotunda

Join us in Green Library for an evening of expert demonstrations and interactive stations exhibiting the many ways in which synergy between archival collections and innovative technologies enhances teaching and research at Stanford.

Go behind-the-scenes in a digitization laboratory; hear Gershwin performing Gershwin via reproducing player piano rolls; manipulate 3D models of fragile artifacts from the Stanford Archaeology Center; look for invisible writing revealed by multispectral imaging of rare books and medieval manuscripts; and so much more.

Experience remarkable materials in entirely new ways – dive in and explore with us!
