CBD 2020: iPause Morning Guided Meditation, session 1 with Tia Rich, PhD

October 01, 2020 | 7:30am - 8:15am | online

In this breath-based guided meditation practice, you are invited to enjoy being part of a community of people sharing peaceful morning meditation. Participants are offered the free opportunity to experience and learn about contemplative practices that cultivate each state of P.E.A.C.E.

The five states of P.E.A.C.E. are: Pause (unwind), Exhale (breathe), Attend (awaken to your senses), Connect (to the present moment) and Express—to support cultivation of the five traits of P.E.A.C.E — Prosociality, Equanimity, Altruism, Compassion, and Ethics.

As part of the 2020 Contemplation by Design Summit, Guided Meditation sessions are offered in the mornings throughout the work week. Expert Guided Meditation leaders share their insights and wisdom born from their own backgrounds in modern secular, neuroscience and/or spiritual traditions.

Instructor: Tia Rich, Ph.D., Director of Contemplation by Design.
Dr. Rich has been integrating contemplative practices into resilience, stress management and career training programs and academic classes at Stanford University and Medical Center since 1984.
